Abstract

Analgesic effects of Clonixin and Indomethacin were investigated in post operative gynecological patients by single oral administration of Clonixin at 250 or 750 mg/dose or Indomethacin at 25 or 75 mg/dose, or placebo, to 10 subjects at each dose under the double blind procedure. Location, type and intensity of pain were recorded prior to and every 30 minutes after administration. Most potent analgesic effect was demonstrated with Clonixin at 750 mg/dose. The effects of Clonixin at 250 mg/dose and Indomethacin at 25 or 75 mg/dose were similar to each other and significantly potent compared with placebo.
